7 Ways Being an Entrepreneur is Changing My Life

Making the decision to take the leap and build something of my own has definitely been a transformative experience, and there’s so much more to come! I’m only 9 months into this journey, and my life has changed drastically since this all began, but I’m still going to share some ways my life is changing for the better through this process.

  1. Freedom and Flexibility
    1. I create my own schedule (but I do my best to accommodate any deadlines my clients may have)
    2. I get to create a business around what I’m passionate about and what i enjoy doing!
  2. Personal Growth
    1. I’m learning to thrive and adapt in challenging situations
    2. Using communication and problem solving to accelerate my personal development
  3. Financial Potential
    1. My income is tied directly to my efforts and creativity, with unlimited opportunities for income streams
    2. Every success benefits me directly
  4. Expanded Network
    1. I’m creating a network of like-minded people, mentors, and even potential collaborators
    2. I get to share my story and journey to help motivate those around me
  5. Creative Freedom
    1. I can take an idea and run with it without restriction
    2. I get to build and shape my business how i want based on my values and vision
  6. Sense of Accomplishment
    1. It is insanely rewarding to be building something out of nothing on my own
    2. The work I do, while it might seem monotonous or boring at times, is helping others to leave a lasting impression in the lives of their customers
  7. Lifestyle Changes
    1. I have more time for friends, family, hobbies, and travel!
    2. I have the flexibility to better prioritize my physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing

To be clear – I work A LOT! There isn’t a whole lot of work/life balance currently, but that is changing this year. There are times when being an entrepreneur is one of the worst things ever, but in working through those times I’m building something long-lasting. I’m building something that can support the life that I want to live, and the family I someday want to have. Yes, having a “normal” job would be the safer route at this point in my life, but I thought my last job was going to be that for me, and I was completely wrong…

And I’m just going to drop this little note here at the end – we need entrepreneurs to build and create and support other entrepreneurs to all come up together and knock some of these huge corporations down a few pegs.
