My Goals & Plans For 2025

Hey there, hi there! We’re now a few days in 2025, and I’d like to share my goals with you for this year! I’ve decided to do away with resolutions. Resolutions are broad, general, not as measurable. Goals are specific, actionable, and measurable. I have some BIG GOALS for the year, and I’m going into this year with intent and accountability – and am cementing them in my life by sharing them here. Some are professional, some are personal, and some fall somewhere in the middle. Let’s be honest – when you’re an entrepreneur in the first 1-5+ years of business your personal and professional life are basically the same thing!

Professional Goals:

  • Make $10,000 in one month (after taking out taxes) through monthly retainer + project based clients, social media (Instagram + YouTube), and brand partnerships. The ULTIMATE goal is for this to be consistent, but the goal I’m setting is to reach this revenue goal.
  • Reach 5,000 followers on the Virtually Maggie Instagram account and YouTube channel
  • Partner with a brand I’m passionate about that helps me achieve my business goals

Personal Goals:

  • Complete the 52 Hike Challenge (52 hikes in 52 weeks)
  • Get a new camera (and carry it with me everywhere!)
  • Get my own place (apartment, house, camper, who knows!)
  • Reach 10,000 followers on the Maggie Midwest Instagram, Patreon, and YouTube
  • Hit my goal weight, and reevaluate with my trainer to decide on my next goal
  • Partner with a brand I’m passionate about that keeps me (and Woods) happy, healthy, and exploring the world
  • Spend 30-60 minutes a day practicing the violin (a wonderful gift from my dad!)

In short – lots of content creation, lots of marketing, and lots of working to help my clients grow their own businesses. I’m feeling determined to not only better my own life and business, but that of my clients as well!

I will do a check in after 6 months to see my progress, and also understand that’s its OKAY to change and adjust my goals. This may not be realistic, but its what I’m pushing for.

If you’re wondering how you can support me in achieving my goals there are a few ways.

  • The easiest way is to subscribe or follow wherever you’ve seen my content! For Virtually Maggie that would be Instagram, YouTube, or this blog here. For Maggie Midwest (my personal stuff) you can follow my Instagram and eventually my YouTube for hikes, Woods, and lifestyle content.
  • The next way would be to subscribe to my Patreon account for Maggie Midwest! I have 3 tiers – $5/$15/$25 per month, and have already started sharing content there. Some will be shared to my Instagram account, but most will be exclusive to this platform.
  • One way to support on a different level would be to sign on as a client with Virtually Maggie for virtual assistant services. Are you an entrepreneur and/or small business owner and need part-time assistance or do you have a project you haven’t been able to tackle (think website updates, customer database cleanup, invoice management, etc)? I could be your go-to! Click here to schedule a free 30 minute discovery call with me!

Its true when they say that sometimes something really not great has to happen for all the great things to make their way to you, and that’s right where I am. I’m still feeling uncomfortable about where I am in life – living with my dad, hoping my car doesn’t break down, wondering how I’m going to get back to feeling like an independent person – but I really am happy and know that if I focus on these goals I will get to where I want to be. And as I progress and get close to these goals I will set new goals! Is the point to hit the goals and say “well here it is I made it!” or is the point to always be working towards something?

I’m going to leave it at that for now! I’m still working through a timeline for these goals, and creating the action items to get there.

What are your goals for 2025?! I’d love to learn what they are! Whether they’re professional or personal – I feel its always good to have something in mind.
